Dua 8

Post by admin

Prophet Shuaib was sent by Allah to guide the people of Madyan, who were known for their corrupt practices, including cheating in trade, deceit, and economic exploitation. Shuaib called them to worship Allah, deal fairly, and abandon their dishonest ways. Despite his guidance and sincere warnings, most of the people rejected his message and mocked him. They refused to change, and some even threatened him and his followers with harm if they didn’t stop preaching.

In response to their stubbornness and hostility, Shuaib made this dua, asking Allah for justice:

رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِينَ

Rabbana iftah baynana wabayna qawmina bilhaqqiwaanta khayru alfatiheen

“Our Lord has encompassed everything in His knowledge. In Allah we trust. Our Lord! Judge between us and our people with truth. You are the best of those who judge.” (Quran 7:89)

This dua reflects Shuaib’s complete trust in Allah’s wisdom and justice. Shortly after, Allah’s punishment came upon the people of Madyan, destroying those who continued in their corruption while sparing Shuaib and the believers.

The story of Prophet Shuaib’s dua teaches us to trust in Allah’s knowledge and justice, especially when faced with opposition and wrongdoing. It reminds us to rely on Allah for fair judgment and guidance in difficult times.
